Forces of Change

Bristol Photo Festival comes back for its second edition, “The World A Wave”, addressing social, political, and environmental conditions in continuous evolution.

Among other artists’ work, Bristol-based photographer Kirsty Mackay collaborated with people across England to explore the impact of the cost-of-living crisis and what poverty looks like in the world’s 6th richest economy. Iranian visual artist Hashem Shakeri documented daily life in Afghanistan following the Taliban’s resumption of power in 2020.
