As Adobe is organizing its virtual AdobeMAX conference (Oct 20-22, 2020), the giant tech company has unveiled a new tool in Adobe Stock: an access to a massive free collection of 70,000 photos, illustrations, vectors, and other assets.

This new Adobe Stock free collection includes over 70,000 high-quality, photos, vectors, illustrations, templates, 3D assets, and videos, hand-curated from talented Adobe Stock artists. Whether you’re looking for a vibrant photo, an engaging video, or a sleek icon, the Adobe Stock free collection showcases a wide breadth of popular topics that are aesthetically fresh and will inspire you to create your best work yet.

“This new collection is a way to empower our community by making the means to create accessible to all, while supporting our artists,” says the announcement.

Adobe Stock content has long been a powerful tool for creatives. Whether using it to jump-start projects, quickly visualize and pitch ideas and concepts, or combine licensed and original content into something new, creatives rely on Stock to help them do more, faster.

The Adobe Stock free collection’s photos and videos are free to use for commercial purposes just like any other asset you would actually pay to license through the Adobe Stock library.

Unlike some other free libraries such as Unsplash, this content was actually bought and paid for by Adobe. Since last week, when you visit the Adobe Stock website, the drop-down next to the search bar allows one to select the category “free,” revealing the entire collection.

While posting photos for free rarely has a positive impact on the perceived value of an image, Adobe is taking a stand here by paying artists for the work they did to create this free collection.
