Both born in 1969 and based in Barcelona, Anna Cabrera and Angel Albarrán have been working together since 1996, forming a duo renowned on the international photographic scene. Together, they have developed a sensitive, poetic artistic universe in which the emotion of the subject combines with the beauty of the print. Specialists in alternative printing techniques and the conservation-restoration of photographs, Albarrán Cabrera considers his photographs to be objects in their own right. Both artists use the old processes of cyanotype, platinum-palladium and other silver processes and invent new ones, which they combine with rare materials such as Japanese papers, pigments and minerals or gold leaf.
