Arthur Tress grew up in Brooklyn, New York. His photographic work is characterized by its surrealistic style and enigmatic scenes on the edge of dream and reality. Mainly concentrating on black & white photography in the 1960s and 1970s, he explored a wide range of subjects, from portraits to urban scenes and thematic photographic series.
His work will be on show at the Esther Woerdehoff gallery this September.
