The exhibition La Vie des Femmes brings together Claude Batho & Erica Lennard, two photographers who, each in their own way, created a powerful, feminist and introspective body of work in 1970s France.
Their gazes, turned towards the intimate, reveal the passing of time, of lives and works in progress. Their photographs, with their strong, distinct identities, appear eminently contemporary and avant-garde today.
The prints presented in the exhibition are all vintage and handmade by the two artists, who have a passionate attachment to the perfection of the photographic print.
