This winter, the mezzanine of the Galerie Esther Woerdehoff welcomes the work of Léon Herschtritt. A humanist photographer, he devotes himself to political and social news reporting. After a classical education, followed by a brief spell at the Ecole Nationale de Photographie, he returned from his military service with a sketch for a book entitled “Les Gosses d’Algérie”. He was the youngest photographer to win the 1960 Niepce prize for this reportage.
