La Galerie Rouge presents “Sur-Nature”, a solo exhibition by photographer Benjamin Deroche. Accompanied by the publication of the homonymous book published by Filigranes, this exhibition sheds light on the sensitive, contemplative and metaphysical relationship that the photographer has maintained with the natural world for the past ten years.
From the Monts d’Arrée in Brittany to the islands of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, Benjamin Deroche is in search of infinite territories, often isolated and devoid of human beings, which allow him to engage in a true dialogue with the natural world. His work is carried out in three stages: the discovery of the place, the creation of an installation and the shooting. Before intervening in the environment, Benjamin Deroche immerses himself in its energy, observes its functioning, its capacity to play with light, and the fauna and flora that inhabit it.
