Fashion is in the Streets

Daniele Tamagni’s book “Style is Life” brings together renowned and unpublished photographs, reminiscent of street fashion’s subversive and political value in communities across the globe.

Mixing a photojournalistic approach, street photography, and his interest in fashion, the photographer immersed himself in a variety of subcultures, collecting images of the Congolese sapeurs, Botswana’s Afrometal scene, Bolivian female wrestlers, young dance crews of Johannesburg and more.

Daniele Tamagni understood that clothing becomes part of people’s identities, their expressions of joy, and sometimes their desire for revenge over a difficult life.

The book “Style is Life” is published by Kehrer Verlag and available at the price of 58 Euro.
