Inner Spaces
Riccardo Fregoso’s new book Winter Light opens the door onto a domestic world wrapped in an aura of Magical Realism.

Shot between 2018 and 2025, the series traces shifting stages of life and the quiet ways an interior changes alongside them. Familiar rooms become thresholds to something more elusive, encouraging each viewer to read scenes through the filter of personal memory. Symbols and metaphors surface naturally from the everyday.
After his book Adriatico, a return to the Adriatic Coast of his childhood that portrayed a region profoundly shaped by mass tourism, Riccardo Fregoso steps inward. He leaves behind the rhythm of a geographical diary in favor of a more intimate sphere, where people, objects, and spaces take on a sculptural stillness and a contemplative presence.
The book Winter Light is published by Setanta Books and available at the price of 41$.
