Julian Rosefeldt’s retrospective “Nothing is Original” at C/O Berlin shows thirty years of film and video installations that question how cinematic, political, and cultural narratives are constructed.
Using familiar genres like westerns, news broadcasts, and soap operas, Julian Rosefeldt breaks down visual stereotypes and reassembles them to expose their underlying ideologies. The exhibition also includes behind-the-scenes materials and storyboards that reveal his working process.
