Mitch Epstein: Nature and Power

The exhibition “Mitch Epstein. American Nature” brings together photographs from the last two decades from Mitch Epstein's seminal series American Power, Property Rights and Old Growth.

In the third and most recent series, the photographer captures the complexity of America's untouched forests, a glimpse into the precolonial wilderness that took millennia to develop but has largely vanished in the last century.

The series American Power observes the corporations’ impact on people's lives, focusing on mass consumption in the United States, while Property Rights documents land ownership conflicts, focusing on the 2017 Standing Rock protests.

The exhibition “Mitch Epstein. American Nature” is on view at Gallerie d’Italia museum in Turin, Italy, until March 2, 2025
