Taylor Galloway’s book “I Can Feel You Dreaming”, published by Deadbeat Club, is a non-narrative journey that fluctuates between mundane and mystery.
A lit car wash at night, a parable standing out against tree branches, wide-open eyes staring out of a television, a microwave sitting just below. With no apparent connection to each other, Taylor Galloway’s photographs flow into everyday life, following a mysterious thread.
The soft black and white of the images adds to their power of abstraction, letting shapes rule over meaning, confounding the real and its replica, and creating the impression of a world with no before and after, where time doesn’t exist.
