Silence at Nighttime
Valeria Bella gallery in Milan, Italy, presents the exhibition “Alla Luce della Notte”, by French photographer and videomaker Benjamin Juhel.
Shot in California in 2022, the series offers a cinematographic view of suspended urban nightscapes, where the buzz of city life leaves space for silence, contemplation, and a sense of wait.
While traces of human presence are hinted at, people never physically appear in the frames. The formal coherence of the images creates a consistent atmosphere, at the edge between quiet and eerie, open to the viewer’s perception.
The exhibition “Alla Luce della Notte” is on view at Valeria Bella gallery in Milan, Italy, until April 28.
