The Ghost in the Room

C/O Berlin presents the exhibition of multidisciplinary artist Farah Al Qasimi, who plays with the notion of visible and new ways to expand it.

Playing with details and traces, the artist shapes the impression of a domestic space inhabited by a poltergeist, through the interplay of images shot in a variety of locations, from Abu Dhabi, UAE to Detroit, Michigan.

Influenced by the domestic-set horror films of the 1970s and 80s, Farah Al Qasimi subtly mixes humor and uncanny energy to hint at topics like feminism, consumption, and economic growth.

The exhibition “Poltergeist” will be on view at C/O Berlin until September 7.
